About me – David Blittersdorf

Former Governor Dean called me “That Wind Guy” as I am the founder of NRG and have been very engaged in getting wind-power to my home state. Sadly, our current governor is against wind and is poorly educated in the basics of energy and the right solutions for a future human civilization.

Sounds like a great trip Dave, 170lbs, bet you could play the line now! We biked around (tried to) Seymour 2 wks ago looking for your place, didn’t really know where to look. Jeff has since clued me in. I’ve still not connected with Lawence, been on vacation, but haven’t seen a message from him. Do we need to talk?

    Hello Dave,
I just got done reading an MSN article about your weight loss journey. You and your wife are my new heroes! lol My husband Carlos and I, who are both in our early 30s, accompanied one of my sisters to her Diabetes Control Sessions for six weeks (final session was on Wednesday). We are really trying to stick to the healthier eating habits and exercises they have taught us because we would like to lose a few pounds. No, scratch that, we need to lose a few pounds. Carlos is so psyched that he’s talking about lifting weights and as part of his coming to terms with going bald, he plans on shaving it all off in lieu of a hair transplant this summer! Needless to say, that he’s looking forward to the new look. As for me, I have a long yearned trip to Italy and healthy child bearing as my motivators. Just thought I’d share this with you. One more congrats from me on your success and on another note, the wind-power concept has piqued my interest, so I think I’ll read more about that next.

    Sincerely,
    Diana

After years of battling weight I hit upon the MSN article about you. Seems like the thing I have been looking for. I need to learn how to be accountable to myself and learn how to change my attitude and behaviors. Thanks for letting the artivle be written, it has given me renewed hope. And I hope I can stick around for my kids and enjoy living to my life to the fullest. I think that this could have possibly been my last year before my body started giving out. Even though terrified I was going to die all I could do was fall face first into the arms of my good friends Ben and Jerry. I started today writing down what I have been eating and calculating the calories. I literally cried when I found that by lunch I had eaten 2900 calories. Cream in coffee, yougurt, mayo…all are killing me. Thanks…you need to understand that you have possibly saved a few thousand lives out here!

Just read about your successfull weight loss on MSN. What a great story. My husband and I started a similiar weight loss plan in January of this year. So far we have lost 37 lbs collectively and are hopeful that we will be able to reach our goals by summers end. I have “dieted” off and on for years with short lived results. This time we (together) have totally changed the way we eat. We also keep a daily journal of calories and fat grams. Thanks for the encouraging article.

    Hi Dave,
I am right in the middle of my own self-imposed weight loss program based on reduced calories. It’s really cool to see articles that bypass the gimmicks and cut to the chase. As a Physical Therapist I have always had the knowledge of knowing my BMI and knowing how many calories my body burns. However, we must choose to keep track of our intake and forgo the food temptations. Congratulations to you and your wife! If I ever need some wind power down here in Ohio and I will look you up.
